The Village People

The summer that I graduated from high school, I moved to Reynosa, Mexico for a month to live at an orphange of some missionary friends of mine. So many neat things to talk about when thinking about Reynosa, but today in particular I remembered that it was there that a friend told me about her church in Dallas (Highland Village), Texas. When I arrived back home that summer, I tapped into the resources available through sermonaudio.com where Highland Village First Baptist Church (later changed name to The Village Church) put their sermons online for the whole wide world. That's been almost 4 years ago. Since that time, I have really enjoyed learning from the good, solid teaching from Matt Chandler (also Barry Keldie, Josh Patterson, and other pastors there). These days, Matt is teaching through the book of Luke. You should totally download the messages and be built up in the Lord by Biblical teaching. (BTW: I have updated from sermonaudio.com and now subscribe to The Village via iTunes & podcasting.) Check out what is going on at The Village at www.thevillagechurch.net

Matt is pretty darn good for a human being...He can preach at a level most of us just aspire to. Thanks for finding this several years ago. You are working out very nicely as a daughter...we are definitely gonna keep you!
